1. I had the best Springfield Messican food I've ever tasted tonight. Taco Wagon. It's small, it's on wheels, they don't speak English and it's on the side of the road. Delicious. I ate a gigantic burrito in its entirety and was super full but still managed to squeeze in an ice cream cone later on.
2. Speaking of, I love Mcdonald's $.49 ice cream cones. Plain and simple, it is just the best investment you could ever make in your future.
3. I love the summer weather. I love the pool, BBQs, parks, ice cream, lots of sunlight and being outside. I don't even have a word of complaint about Springfield in the summer months. I know winter will come, and my spirit will die, but let's not speak of that now.
4. I'm looking forward to lots of things this next month.
5. Fourth of July. Second favorite holiday to Christmas. Hope we do some fun fireworks.
6. St. Louis the next weekend. Cardinals game at Busch stadium. Staying at a hotel with free snacks and happy hour and an indoor pool. Going to the zoo and Trader Joe's the next day. Sweet.
7. The next weekend the last Harry Potter comes out. Can't wait for Candace to dress in her wizard's robe and paint a lightening scar on her forehead and use her wand to transport us all to the movie. I do love me some HP.
8. Weekend after that is a great camping trip to Johnson's Shut Ins. I don't know why it's called that or where it is, but we're going and rumor has it that its great. Swimming and climbing rocks, face painting, pony rides, balloon animals, the works.
9. I love awkwardfamilyphotos.com. So funny.
10. I wrote this entire blog entry from my toilet. Hey-o!! Didn't see that coming, did you?
I laughed my whole way through this...well, until the end was I was slightly grossed out. Summer in Springfield is indeed wonderful. You should spend the winter months in Thailand with me so your spirit doesn't die from the cold and so that my spirit won't die from lack of laughter.
