Hillary Poppins.

It's been awhile... Christmas has come and gone, and here we are in 2011. I hope everyone had wonderful holidays. It was nice to have a break from Springfield and the cold and stay with my parents and Grandma for a few days. Also enjoyed ringing in the New Year with Steph, Tyler & Krista. A wild time was had by all. But mostly Steph.

So now I am back at home, back to the old grindstone of being a super nanny. It is really a great job. Some days, like today for example, I feel like I am practically Mary Poppins, and a better nanny never existed. Eight poopy diapers, a load of laundry, finger painting... not a problem. I just talk in my loveliest voice and say things like, "Step lively, children,"give the babies tuppins to feed the birds, pull out my carpet bag full of lamps, stick my finger out the window and catch small sparrows to delight the children with, while reminding them that I am practically perfect in every way. Then of course there are the days that I pray for nap time and consider locking myself in the closet and crying. But those moments are outweighed by the good ones by far.

In other news, I start my first class at Liberty next week and I am pretty excited about it and hope that I have the self discipline to do a good job and learn the most that I can from it. I'm not making any resolutions this year, actually I never do because I know I probably wouldn't follow through with them, so why bother. Plus, I am practically perfect in every way. Jk lolz brb.

I guess there's not much else going on that needs to be shared with the blog world. I went to the dentist yesterday (love it every time for the compliments on my horse teeth), I started watching Glee and I love the singing and it is kind of addicting, I'm putting together a new bookshelf this weekend, and I love my sweats. That's all there is to say I suppose.

Step in time, my friends.

  1. Another great post. I love and appreciate all of the Mary Poppins references. It's so practically perfect of you to stay until the babies don't need you anymore.

And now I have "Step in Time" stuck in my head. Maybe one day Glee will do a Mary Poppins' song.

  2. Stephy truly had the best night of all that night. It was pretty spectacular all-around, although I got terribly sick the next day.
