Happy Birthday Kayley & Cole!

Happy Birthday to two of my favorite-not-so-small-anymore-friends! I wish I could be with you to celebrate your special day. I have lots of fun memories of when you were smaller and I was able to to be home more often.

Kayley, I love remembering all the funny words you said when you were little. How you said, "Won-swee" for laundry, called your grandma, "Grandma Wizba," and put together the awesome sentence, "Ya bee on me," when you wanted your other blanket on. You said so many fun things & were always my little buddy. I remember in your Tern Ct. house, your mom and I were trying to trim your hair, and you informed us that you had two mommies. Your mom quickly corrected you, that you in fact, did not. I loved when you'd try and wear my big uggs on your little feet, and how you would almost always choose my lap to sit on.

Now you are so big, smart, and funny! You are a perfect mixture of your mom and dad, and some of just you too.

Colemichaelo (Cole-Michael-Calo as Kayley would say),  even though I didn't get to be there when you made your grand entrance into the world or for as much of you getting bigger, I still think you are such a special little guy. I love that whenever I come home to visit, even when you were really small, you always have been my buddy. I love that you ask me to spend the night and have a sleepover anytime I come over to your house. I love that when you were two, you could ride a scooter better and faster than I can as an adult. I love your smile, your eyes that sparkle when you laugh, and how much you love your mom.

A couple of years ago when I was home and you were living at your Grandma's house, I came over to say goodbye before I came back to Missouri. I'm not sure where your mom was, but you both answered the door, and little Cole was completely naked. As I looked at your smiling faces, pretty proud of yourselves for answering the door, and Cole clearly proud to be naked, I asked you if you would please stay little forever and stop getting bigger each time I left. Kayley, you informed me, that of course, you couldn't do that. You were right! You both just keep growing each time I see you, and I wish I lived closer to be apart of it all, but I still love you both very much & hope you have the best birthdays!!

  1. Loved this! Kayley really did say the best things when she was little. And I can't believe the little fatty in the first few pictures was her. She's so thin and waif-like now.
